Applicant must have practiced as an RN for at least 6 months within the last 4 years. Fingerprint fee is $39.25.

Temporary License Information

Temporary permits are available for endorsement applicants ($239.25), valid for 90 days.

Processing Time Notes

Can take up to 60 days. Background check processing is often the bottleneck.

Continuing Education

30 hours required every 2 years

Requirement varies: 5-30 hours depending on hours worked (900+ hours worked = 5 CEs; <160 hours worked = 30 CEs).

Additional Information

Initial RN licenses are valid for 1 year; subsequent renewals are biennial.
