Endorsement Process

Endorsement Fee: $200

Must have practiced nursing at least 2 of the last 5 years. Total fee includes application, initial license, and surcharge.

Temporary License Information

A temporary courtesy license is primarily available for military personnel or their spouses.

Processing Time Notes

Fingerprinting instructions are mailed; out-of-state applicants must use cards provided by the Board.

Continuing Education

30 hours required every 2 years

30 contact hours every 2 years; includes 1 hour on opioids and a one-time 1-hour requirement for organ donation.

Additional Information

Licenses expire May 31 of renewal years.
